Safeguarding & BOPA
A child safeguarding policy is a mandatory document for any organisation working with children, outlining the commitment to protect children from harm, abuse, and neglect.
It defines staff/volunteer conduct, procedures for reporting concerns,
safer recruitment practices, and risk management strategies to ensure a safe environment.
Health & Safety requirements on a dance and drama setting:

Conduct a risk assessment to identify any potential hazards in your drama studio or theatre.

An inspection should be carried out by a nominated, competent member of staff to ensure the suitability of the drama areas.

A nominated H&S practitioner should be contracted to develop and issue a Risk Assessment for your institution
